The Bartlett Room houses the Plymouth Public Library’s collection of over 1200 items relating to the descendants of the Mayflower Pilgrims, as well as the many other immigrants who settled in the area. For further information on the many local history and genealogy resources available at the Library,  click here.

We are pleased to be able to share some of these materials online, beginning with our first digitized collection of historical photographs, the Plymouth Tercentenary Photographs dating from 1920 and 1921.  The library owns 159 photos of the numerous events celebrating the 300th anniversary of the arrival of the Pilgrims which were taken by one of the official event photographers, Edward P. McLaughlin.

Look for future updates - there is much more information about the Tercentenary celebration which we hope to provide which will help in appreciating this unique collection.
